The Difenso KMS is built on the open KMIP standard (Key Management Interoperability Protocol), ensuring native interoperability with a wide range of third-party virtualization and backup solutions.
VMware vCenter
The Difenso KMS integrates natively with VMware vCenter for virtual machine encryption (VM Encryption), using the standard KMIP protocol. No changes to your existing virtualization infrastructure are required: vCenter simply delegates encryption key management to the Difenso KMS.
Veritas NetBackup
The Difenso KMS is compatible with Veritas NetBackup for encrypting your backups via KMIP (External Key Management Services).
Officially listed as compatible — Difenso appears under the name “EDK 240” in the external key management table (External Key Management Services using KMIP) of the NetBackup documentation, published by Cohesity, the owner of NetBackup.
